    My name is Marianne Morcos, and I am from Australia. Growing up in a supportive family in Australia and learning from exceptional educators throughout my primary school, high school and tertiary education, ignited my passion for teaching. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in psychology at La Trobe University. I then pursued and graduated with an Honours Degree in 2023 which included a major research thesis component and taught me a lot about scientific research. Additionally, I hold a teaching qualification in English and a DELF/DALF French language diploma. During my undergraduate studies, I also had the opportunity to study and complete a psychology Unit at Harvard University which I found to be very informative. I was also a registered provisional psychologist in Australia, reflecting my keen interest in psychology. My interests include learning new languages. In addition to English, I can also speak French and Arabic.

    In late 2024, I chose to come to China to teach at university with my teaching qualification and immerse myself in a culture I find profoundly fascinating. My interest in traditional Chinese customs was sparked by my enjoyment of ancient Chinese costume dramas, which deepened my appreciation for this rich cultural heritage.

    My teaching philosophy centers on recognizing the potential in every student and fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates individuality. I believe every learner can succeed, regardless of their background, gender, or language skills, as long as they are willing to embrace challenges. I look forward to sharing knowledge, learning from my students, and exploring the vibrant culture of China during my time here.
